The challenge

A photographer is judged on image quality the moment the page opens, so compression that visibly degrades the work is not an option. The site had to carry a heavy portfolio without the load time that usually comes with it.

What we built

The portfolio is handled so the images stay sharp while the page still arrives quickly, and the pages are rendered on the server rather than assembled in the visitor's browser, which is what keeps a gallery this heavy from feeling slow. Service and contact paths are kept short, because enquiries here are usually time-bound: a wedding date, an event, a shoot already on the calendar.

What was delivered
